A video of Premchand’s short story 'Panchparmeshwar'
was shown to the students of B. Com. I class on Friday 27/7/18. Sixty students
were present.
‘Panch Parmeshwar’ belongs to the early group of
short stories by Premchand, which were written between 1916 and 1920.
Originally it had been written in Urdu, he translated this story in Hindi
himself. This is the famous story of two friends. Algu is the village chief and
when it comes to do the justice, he doesn't spare his best friend Jumman. Since
Jumman did not get algu's favour, friends become foes.But at the end, the
realization comes when the tables are turned and finally "Justice"
wins.
